Introduction
Impact Discs are for use in transfer points to absorb impact. Return Discs to assist with cleaning of the return side of the belt. Bull Nose Discs for applications with heavy duty impact loads.
Large range of discs to suit various idler tube sizes. Compounds available for impact absorption, abrasion resistance and fire resistance. Many sizes available ex stock.

- The range of Gulf Rubber idler discs covers light to heavy duty impact and return idler applications and has been developed to provide an economic easy to use product.
- Discs are available to suit the common tube and idler diameters.
- Tube diameters - 60,89,102,140mm
- Idler diameters - 127, 133, 152, 159, 165, 178 & 200mm
Materials
- Discs are available in Natural Rubber (NR), Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) and Fire Resistant Anti Static (FRAS) compounds.
- SBR is chosen for return discs applications as a result of its very good abrasion resistance.
- FRAS compounds are used in areas where fire hazards exist, notably underground coal mines, sugar mills and grain terminals.
- Gulfthane (proprietary) material is for use in applications that require high levels of abrasion resistance.
- Gulfthane is a blend of synthetic polymers that provide outstanding resistance to abrasion while retaining the properties of rubber. The abrasion performance is consistent over a range of hardnesses (55 to 90 Shore A).

Packaging
Discs are packed in woven plastic bags in standard quantities based on the discs sizes. Wooden crates are also available as additional packing if required.
