Quality - Precision Parts
Gulf Rubber has extensive experience manufacturing high and low volume
parts with tight control of critical dimensions and physical properties.
The company has proven capability in supplying precision parts within the
following specifications:
- Dimensions to +/-0.05 mm
- Hardness on finished components +/-2 points
- Compression Set <10% on finished components
This is achieved through the following key requirements:
- Clearly identifying the customers requirements and testing method
- Implementing tight process control on material properties
- Using small precision moulds
- Comprehensive production tooling capability studies
(target minimum Cpk>1.67 on all critical properties).
- Tight production process controls including Statistical Process Control
(SPC).
- Critical properties measured on finished parts
- Automated inspection capability
- Precision Parts - add the following heading/text
Capability Study
minimum requirement of Cpk>1.67 for all critical properties.
Mould Cavity Layout
Cpk > 1.67 on all critical properties/dimensions in the four corners
and one centre cavity for tooling approval.
